User Reviews about Acer Aspire One AOD250-1706 10.1-Inch Red Netbook - 7.5 Hour Battery Life
I purchased this item for my wife as an anniversary gift. She was thrilled with it. Setup was fairly straight forward and wireless connection to our home router was simple. Have only had this item for three weeks but all is well so far. The small keyboard works well and the screen gives a clear and sharp image. This item does not come with a built in CD/DVD reader but does have several usb ports for transferring data from one pc to another. I did however purchase an accessory pack that included a DVD drive that connects to the Aspire via USB port. The pack also included a usb wireless mouse and a protective jacket for the netbook. All in all we, my wife actually, is very satisfied with this netwbook. She loves the attractive dark red color as well! -- Acer Aspire 10.1 Inch Red Netbook
I'd been trying to talk my self out of this purchase but finally decided to take the plunge when I saw the red color go on sale for $300. Product was delivered right on time. I was excited to get it set up so we could use it in the family room to check email and to browse the net when TV got boring. The trouble started when I had difficultly connecting to my home network. Not a problem, I should be able to contact Acer customer service for help, right? Wrong. They were entirely unhelpful. Thankfully I was able to contact a friend who was able to resolve the problem over the phone for me.

I like the product and feel that I made a wise purchasing decision. But I was sorely tempted to return the netbook for a refund after my experience with Acer customer service. Hopefully I won't need to contact them again.

I'd recommend this item to anyone who is looking for a notebook. It is stylish, very light, and surprisingly quick. And the red color is nice. Since I wanted a notebook with XP rather than Win7, this fit the bill nicely. As always, Amazon has an incredible selection and provided quick shipping. -- Can't say much for Acer Customer Support
I absolutely love my new netbook. I purchased this computer so that I could take it to school with me. Because I downloaded Microsoft Office onto the computer, it has everything I need while working at school. I also put a SD card in it so that I have extra memory, and it makes transferring files much easier. This computer does everything that I needed it for. An added bonus-it easily fits in my purse or carry-on when I am travelling. The long battery life allows me to go where I need to without bringing the extra cable. I am at school for twelve hours a day and I have yet to run out of battery life. I love it and highly recommend it to any commuters who do not want to carry the extra weight around with them. -- Great for commuting!
I have found this 10inch notebook to be great for travel and has a long battery life that is great for road trips. I have not found anything that I have been upset about. It is not to be used for downloading large files or saving to the hard drive but all you need is a USB drive to save to and you are set! -- Acer Aspire One, great for the $$
