I have had this battery for a bit over a year now. It has been around the world, taken a beating, and been plugged in for weeks at a time. Still gives me 7 to 8 hours on my ZG5 (110). I like it so much I am about to purchase another. -- After a year...still great
I replaced my original 3-cell battery in my Acer AspireOne L110 about 6-months ago. The replacement was simple and straight forward. Since I have upgraded to the 9-cell battery, I can say that anyone owns a netbook with a 3-cell battery with a 2-4 hour runtime per charge should definitely upgrade. I now use my netbook "unplugged" all day or evening long while sitting at the kitchen table or in the family room while watching Bluray, DVD, or some other show. I do much more research on the internet while sitting on the couch in the family room watching various shows on the the large screen.
The convenience of not having to worry about the battery has totally changed how I use my netbook. Since I installed the battery, I actually use my netbook much more than I did with the 3-cell battery. It has made my netbook truly live up to the capability for what they were designed to perform as a highly portable secondary internet device. -- Longer battery life is a definite must for netbooks
The extended capacity is true. Unfortunately, the size of the needed larger capacity almost outweighs the netbook itself. Maybe a year or 2 from now, the industry will be able to give us smaller more efficient batteries for these terrific small and efficient netbooks from Acer. Until that time, we'll be wielding oversized and overweight batteries that are needed to keep the netbooks running for a few hours extra. Battery engineering needs to keep up with the other sectors of technology. -- Acer Battery is al it says it is....
The battery was purchased as a backup. Now I leave it on the computer all the time. You get more reserve power and the battery tilts the laptop up to make it easier to type on. -- Acer Battery
I really like my Acer One Netbook but the standard 3 cell battery means you are constantly hunting for a plug. I was barely getting 1 hour before having to charge. With this battery I get 8 to 9 hours. If you use your netbook much this is a necessity. -- Fixes a major flaw
