User Reviews about HP Mini 210-1055NR 10.1-Inch Silver Netbook - 9.75 Hours of Battery Life
I got this for portability. It is indeed that. Battery lasts for long time. With Windows 7 it is even easier to navigate the web.
I really like this. -- Netbook is handy
First off, the battery life is awesome. I've never gotten 9.75 hours out of it, but consistently over 7, for sure. (had it for about a month now)
The keyboard is comfortable, though I wish the Backspace key were a little wider to the left. And I had gotten used to using Home and End keys, but those are not offered on this keyboard. I also didn't realize that the F-keys would be dedicated to the Media Player commands, and you have to use Fn to get to the F-keys -- a quick trip to the BIOS swaped that around, and now I'm back to using my F-keys hassle free.
The 1GB RAM is sufficient, but as many others note, it could largely benefit from an extra 1GB.
I got then b/g/n wireless, and am pleased with the connection speed.
The Audio Input/Output is just one port, instead of the separate Mic input and Speaker Output, so I'll need to buy a new headset, or adapter if I want to use that. The built-in Camera, Speakers, and Microphone have been good to me so far -- good for Skype; speakers are loud enough, and microphone seems to be clear.
There is a lot of junk pre-loaded on it, which is sometimes annoying, but not so annoying that I've taken the extra time to get rid of it.
All in all, I think it was a great buy -- at $300 on 6/21/10.
-- I think I made the right choice
This is the third netbook I have tried...I love it. Everyone of my close circle of friends like it but don't have the use that I have for it.
But they would like to purchase mine if and when I no longer need the machine. -- Love the HP Mini Netbook
Super quick delivery. Great notification throughout the entire process. Product is perfect. Love the whole experience! Highly recommend! -- HP Netbook
