I have an Acer Aspire One and I wanted an extra battery for when I take it to class. This battery gives me about 6-8 hours of work time depending on what I am doing at the time. It is a bit heavy and sticks out a bit from the pc, but overall it is nice to have the extra battery life when I need it. For times when I don't need all the extra battery life, I just switch back to the 3 cell battery that came with it to reduce the bulk. -- Nice to have an extra battery
This is the battery that this netbook should be shipped with originally...
I just recently received it - charged it up, then was quite challenged to run it all the way down to be able to set it up for the recharge recommended.... it lasts QUITE a long time!
Yes, it makes the netbook slightly heavier - and props the back of it up slightly. The extension of the battery is actually quite convenient - the elevation of the back provides for more air circulation (thus, cooling) and I am finding that I prefer the angle that results. Makes for a better typing angle, and a better screen view.
All in all - this battery is a must if you are running the Acer One 8.9.
